Unlike football, when it comes to men's soccer the nature of the North Central Missouri Conference isn't nearly as contentious because the number of teams competing for the title isn't that great, especially when compared to the amount of overall games in a season.

That didn't keep Kirksville from being an absolutely horrible host on Tuesday, though, as they crowded the Bulldogs and blitzed their goalie in every rude manner possible until they home team had come out on the right side of a 7-1 victory over the Lady Bulldogs.

"Kirksville has a great offensive team and we were caught playing a defensive game and couldn't transition to offense quick enough to score," said coach William Gleeson. "Diego Vasquez scored the only goal."

Mexico is currently 4-3 overall and will be at the Moberly Spartan Tournament Sept. 13-15 and on Sept. 18 the squad has a NCMC matxhup at Hannibal.
