Kenzie Ausfahl struck out 10 and allowed no walks in five innings to help the North Callaway varsity softball team beat Clopton, 3-3 overall, 1-2 EMO, at home on Tuesday in Eastern Missouri Conference action 10-3. Ausfahl also went 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run for the contest as the Ladybird's scored twice in the first inning and four runs in the second, as well as a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth. Makayla Pennell went 4-for-4 with a triple, five RBI and two runs, as well.
"Our girls at the plate were very selective and very protective," said coach Mariah McKee. "Ausfahl pitched a great game for us."
North Callaway, 4-2 overall, 4-0 Eastern Missouri Conference, hosted Elsberry in league action on Thursday.
