In its final chance to self-correct anything about itself that might not be right, the Centralia varsity softball team made the trek to Hickman last Saturday.

The problem with this game is that it was jaded from the start when Hickman took a 3-1 lead in the first inning and then built on that advantage starting in the fifth. The Lady Panthers also got got outhit 8-6 and made the only error of the contest, all of which helped negate the RBI's from Ella Holiman and Mallory Smith. Holiman also had two hits and Mary Kate Bennett drew a walk.

Regardless of the outcome Centralia always seems to get solid pitching from Gwendolyn Bodtick and this time was no different as she charted 16 first-pitch strikes and five strikeouts in six innings of work.

For the year the Lady Panthers finished with a record of 15-9 overall.
