The Community R-6 varsity girls basketball team will be playing in a four team jamboree at Wright City on Nov. 14 with Montgomery County and Silex. The format will feature six minute halves, games times are approximate and organizers want to run ahead of schedule, if possible. There will be a five minute warm-up session between games, except between games three and four when there will be a ten minute break.

Trojans Boys hosting hoops event

On Nov. 14 the Community R-6 boys basketball team will welcome Montgomery County, Wright City and Silex for a jamboree that will feature two six-minute quarters, approximate game times and five minute warm up periods prior to each contest. There will be an extra gym teams can use to prepare and the people in charge are going to try and run ahead of schedule.

Ongoing middle school tourney

In a basketball tournament that began on Veterans Day, on Nov. 13 at Community R-6 Junior High at 6 p.m. in girls competition the Lady Trojans face Wellsville-Middletown in the new gym and in the old gym North Callaway faces Van-Far. At 7:15 p.m. in boys hoops in the old gym the Thunderbird's are matched up against the Indians while in the new gym CR-6 is up against the Tigers.

This event then wraps up on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 6:00 p.m. starting with girls contests as Community R-6 plays North Callaway in the new gym and Van-Far goes at it with Wellsville-Middletown in the old gym. The boys will the take center stage at 7:15 p.m. with the Trojans facing the T-Birds in the new gym and the Tigers competing against the Indians in the old gym.
