ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The United States Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday that Damen Gasic was sentenced to 23 months in prison for illegal possession of firearms in Audrain County.
Gascic, 24, of Mexico, pleaded guilty in March to one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm involving his possession of a firearm in October 2008 in Audrain County. Due to his previous felony conviction, he is forbidden by law to own or possess a firearm.
He appeared Tuesday for sentencing before United States District Judge Carol E. Jackson, in St. Louis.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Tom Albus handled the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
