The Mexico Farmers’ Market is held from 8-11 a.m. each Saturday on the east side of Hardin Park. One photo shows area residents shopping at the market. The other photo shows vendors (from left) Mary Simmerman, Shaine Jones and Charlie Simmerman selling tomatoes and sweet corn. Local growers of produce are encouraged to sell produce at the market for a $7 daily fee. It is not necessary to pre-register, but vendors should arrive at the market no later than 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
