Attorney General to promote senior consumer protection

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster is promoting consumer protection this week.
Koster is traveling throughout the state to warn seniors about the types of fraud and scams being attempted across the nation. The attorney general plans to offer tips on how people can avoid becoming a fraud victim.
The attorney general’s tour started today in St. Joseph. Koster also plans to stop in Joplin and Springfield on Tuesday. Missouri’s attorney general has responsibility for consumer protection efforts.
