With 17.19 inches of rain, July 2008 set a rainfall record in Mexico. The previous record for July precipitation was 14.84 inches in 1958.
Previous July precipitation amounts exceeding 10 inches in addition to 1958 and 2008 are 13.35 inches in 1969 and 11.67 inches in 1981.
