Mina Geradine “Gerry” Clark, 96, of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Pin Oaks Living Center.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home with burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Martinsburg. Visitation is Friday from 12 Noon until the service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clark was born on the family farm at Shamrock, MO on May 5, 1921, the daughter of Francis Edward and Thelma (Hagood) Dryden.
She was active in the Mexico United Methodist Church serving as Sunday School teacher for many years. She was also active in the United Methodist Woman Organization on local and district levels, attending numerous UMW assemblies as a delegate from her local chapter.
She enjoyed writing poems and monthly writings which she sent to friends, church members and shut ins. She had a poem published in May, 2007 titled “Tribute to Mothers”.
On May 29, 2016 she was honored for a lifetime of dedication and service to the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons; John R. (Marjorie) Clark of Martinsburg and Edward N. Clark of Goldsboro, NC; a grandson Dennis E. (Julie) Clark of Martinsburg; a granddaughter Leslie R. (Jared) Windmann of Laddonia; five great-granddaughters, Taren and Shelby Clark, Delanie, Erica, and Baylie Windmann; a sister-in-law Mary Dryden of Montgomery City and several nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Edward Dryden and a daughter Connie Sue Clark.
