Ted “Hank” Schoneboom
Ted Henry “Hank” Schoneboom, 73, of Rush Hill, died at 6:36 a.m. on Oct. 3, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Schutte officiating. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Schoneboom was born on Nov. 6, 1934, near Farber, the son of Theodore George and Lena Rose (Seiger) Schoneboom. On May 3, 1959, in Laddonia he married Joan Stanford, who survives at the home. He was a self-employed farmer who mostly raised livestock. He also worked at North American Refractories, and started the Schoneboom Christmas Tree Farm which is now run by his son.
He was a member of the Rush Hill Community Church and loved music, playing in a band with the Littleby Drifters. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and reloaded his own ammo. He was a life member of the NRA. Family was very important to him and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Forrest Schoneboom and wife Penny, Vandalia, and Brian Schoneboom and wife Lisa, Mexico; one sister Irene Parks and husband Bill, Perry; and five grandchildren, Clayton, Jordan, Woody, Lacy and Shane.
Memorials may be made to the Rush Hill Community Church and sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.

Helen Mutti
Helen Mutti, 93, of Columbia, formerly of Paris, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at a Columbia nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Agnew Funeral Home in Paris with Reverend Kathie Jackson officiating. Visitation was held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Mutti was born on March 9, 1915 in Centralia, the daughter of James Robert and Clara Isabelle Wilkins Brown. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1932, valedictorian of her class, earned an A.A. Degree from Christian College (now Columbia College), and was awarded a B.S. in Public Administration from the University of Missouri in 1936. After graduation, Mrs. Mutti was employed as a social worker in Audrain County.
On April 2, 1937 she was married to Glen E. Mutti in a small wedding ceremony in her parent’s home in Centralia. Three daughters were born to the couple. After the Muttis settled in Paris in 1947, Mrs. Mutti became a very active member of the Paris Presbyterian Church. Her contribution to the church was significant, including serving as the first woman deacon and the second woman elder. In addition, she sang in the church choir, was a Sunday school teacher, and served on numerous committees.
During her 57 years as a Paris resident, Mrs. Mutti participated in many civic activities. She was a member of the Clio Literary Club, Double I Literary Club, Republican Women’s Club, Missouri Retired Teachers and Paris Public Education Foundation.
Young people who went through the Paris R-II school system from 1962 to 1987 knew Mrs. Mutti as the substitute teacher. Mrs. Mutti enjoyed her 25 years of subbing in every grade level and for every subject. For several years, during her involvement with the Paris school system, Mrs. Mutti coordinated the foreign student exchange program.
After retirement, Mrs. Mutti traveled to all 50 states of the USA, as well as to several European countries. Much of their traveling was done in conjunction with the Elderhostel Educational Programs.
In 2004, Mr. and Mrs. Mutti re-located to a retirement community in Columbia. She regretted having to leave her dear and kind friends, but she took with her many wonderful memories. During her short residency in Columbia, she made some new friends and added to her cache of good memories.
Shortly after moving to Columbia, Mrs. Mutti joined the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia and was active in a women’s study circle.
Mrs. Mutti is survived by her three daughters, Laura (Bob) Heitmeyer of Sedalia, Martha (Jack) Ryan of St. Charles, Ill. and Susan Woodard of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, Rob Heitmeyer of San Diego, Calif., Richie (Missie) Heitmeyer of Sedalia, Sallie (Grant) Koenig of Oahu Island, Hawaii, Elizabeth Keith (Edwin Pulecio), San Diego, Calif., Emily Woodard of St. Louis and Sarah Woodard of Kirkwood and two great-grandchildren, Marissa Pulecio and Benjamin Koenig. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen, on Aug. 6, 2005, one granddaughter, Jenny Keith, a sister and a brother.
Memorials may be made to Paris Library or Stubbins Youth Center in Moberly.
Janet Elaine Weaver
Janet Elaine Weaver, 60, of Mexico, died at 8:50 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Audrain Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Pickering Funeral Home with Rev. Art Menard officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Janet was born on Feb. 11, 1948 in Clarinda, Iowa, a daughter of William Thadeous and E. Gladys (Hageman) Hendren. On June 8, 1968, in Mexico, she married Donald Edwin Weaver who survives at the home. She was retired from working as a Registered Nurse for 28 years at Audrain Medical Center.
She was a graduate of Mexico High School and St. Luke’s School of Nursing. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was actively involved in all the ministries there.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, William D. Weaver and friend Danielle, Macon, and John E. Weaver and wife Leigh, Columbia; two daughters, Melodie A. Eisenhofer and husband David, Mexico, and Merrie S. Gorsky and husband Bill, Fulton; one sister, Susan M. Woods and husband Larry, Mexico; and 5 grandchildren, Jennifer L., Debra E., and Daniel Eisenhofer, Shelby L. Weaver, and Edward S. Gorsky.
Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Wilma J. Hendren and Carol L. Willie, and a granddaughter, Elayna L. Gorsky.

Abbie Rose Cluster, 95, of Shelbina, formerly of Fulton, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Columbia Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with burial in Fairmont Cemetery in Middletown.
