Hilda Haarmann
Hilda Haarman, known to many as Grandma Haarman of Old Monroe fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Haarman; dear daughter of the late Bernard and the late Anna Goldbeck; cherished mother and mother-in-law of Allan (Doris) Haarman, Sharon Woolf, Joyce (Ron) Brown, Janice (Walter) Burkemper and Linda (Mark) Reller; loving grandmother of 17; dearest great-grandmother of 18; treasured sister of Ethel Pressy; loving sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Hilda is preceded in death by an infant daughter, two sisters and seven brothers. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe and a former Sacred Heart Parish in Troy.
The family is being served by The Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood Street, O’Fallon, where visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 3-8 p.m. Second visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Church Old Monroe, 110 MaryKnoll Road, Old Monroe, Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 9-10 a.m. Funeral service will follow visitations at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Immaculate Conception Church, Old Monroe.
