Frank E. Gibler, 70 of Madison, passed away early Sunday morning, March 7, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Gibler was born on Sept. 13, 1939 in Thompson, the son of Fred and Clara Smith Gibler. He married Helen Turpin on March 3, 1967 in Middle Grove. She survives at the home. Other survivors include one son, Kevin Gibler of Madison; one daughter, Jennifer (Tommy) Legrand of Madison; four grandchildren; seven sisters and four brothers,Vera Barnes of Paris, Wilma Vincent of Holliday, Ruby (Alvin) Miller of Paris, Roy Wayne (Mary Ann) Gibler of Paris, Earl (Marilynn) Gibler of Madison, David (Linda) Gibler of Madison, Doris (Russell) Taylor of Centralia, Margie Kitchen of Centralia, Marian (Jim) Hancock of Duncan’s Bridge, Nelson (Michelle) Gibler of Centralia and Carla Sue (Mike) Green of Salisbury, and many nieces and nephews.
He was employed by AB Chance Company for 34 years before retiring. He and his wife, Helen, had farmed in the Madison community for 35 years and he was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Madison Community Center with Reverend Jim Robinson officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Madison Community Center. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist church.
