Beverly Bellamy, 70, of Fulton dies

Beverly Bellamy, 70, of Fulton, Mo. left this Earth on August 21, 2010 at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. She was born in Thompson, Mo. on July 21, 1940 and adopted by Robert and Opal Gilmore of Auxvasse, Mo. She was briefly married Roy Hazlett. She married Edward "Buster" Bellamy on October 23, 1981.  He survives at the home.  
Beverly is also survived by her son David (Becky) Gilmore, daughter Vanessa (David) Raps, former daughter-in-law Brenda Gilmore, four grandchildren: Brian (Frannie) Gilmore, Robert Gilmore, David Lee (Andrea) Gilmore and Tiffany (Kenny) Schneller and five great-grandchildren. She also has several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Beverly is also survived by five brothers: Carl Barnes, Cyrus "Gene" Barnes, Leonard "Earl" Barnes, Tony Lee Barnes, Alfred Turner Barnes, and Billie "Jim" Gilmore and three sisters, Susie Jewell Baker, Betty Evans, and Joyce Marie (Barnes). Her parents, a brother - Carl Barnes and a sister - Annie Bernice Elam preceded her in death.   
Beverly grew up in Mexico and Auxvasse. She graduated from Auxvasse High School in 1958. She later moved to Fulton, where she stayed until her passing. She worked for Fulton State Hospital during the early 1970s, Gasper's during the late 1970s and Westminster College during the 1980s and 1990s.  She also co-owned B&B Cab Company in Fulton, Mo. with her husband. Beverly enjoyed visiting Branson, playing bingo, going to garage sales and spending time with her friends and family.    
A memorial service will be held at Fulton Church of Christ on Saturday August 28, 2010 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  There will not be a funeral service. Beverly will be cremated and placed at Callaway Memorial Gar-dens. Donations may be sent in lieu of flowers to Fulton Church of Christ, 2700 N Bluff. Fulton, Mo.
