Shirley Hammond of Anderson, S.C., dies

Shirley D. Hammond of Anderson, S.C. died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Hammond was born in Centralia, Mo. July 29, 1935. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Orma E. and Cleo C. Mackey. Her husband, Kenneth Hammond of the home; son, Michael Hammond of Northville, Mich.; daughter, Sherry Clayton of Anderson and five grandchildren survive her.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at the Northeast Chapel conducted by the Revs. Steve Silvey and Delano McMinn. Burial followed at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to your church or the charity of your choice.
