Raymond Dean Boone
Raymond Dean Boone, 81 of Springfield, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Missouri Veterans’ Home, Mt. Vernon.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11 a.m. July 10, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
Mr. Boone was born June 13, 1928 at Bluffton, the son of Nolan and Nona Boone.
He married Velma J. Hampton in 1953, then married Evelyn Sewell in 1981.
Mr. Boone graduated from Mexico High School in 1946 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Kaiser Refractories with over 20 years of service.
He was a member of Northside Christian Church, Springfield. He played many years of baseball, fast pitch and slow pitch softball including the Mac’s Falstaff team. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal’s fan.
Survivors include his children and spouses, Gary and Tonya Boone, Springfield, Mickey and Kevin Fuller, Springfield, and Sandy and Mike Smith, Mexico; six grandchildren, Nathan Boone, Ryder Boone, Kale Fuller, Ross Fuller, Devyn Smith, and Darren Smith; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Brooklyn Boone and Jackson Fuller; one brother and spouse, Don and Toni Boone, Mexico; and one sister, Faye Moss, Del City, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan Boone and Nona Boone, and his spouses, Velma Boone and Evelyn Boone.

Christina Wyss
Christina Marie Wyss, 32, of Mexico, died Wednesday evening, June 24, 2009, as a result of injuries from an auto accident.
Arrangements are pending at Pickering Funeral Home.
Christina was born May 12, 1977, in Mexico, a daughter of Tim Wyss and Gail Woolridge. She loved life and was a devoted mother. She enjoyed photography, facebook, music, camping and the outdoors.
Survivors include her father, Tim Wyss and wife Mary Kay, Mexico; her mother, Gail Woolridge and husband Bob, Mexico; her fiancée, Michael G. McMurtry, Jr., of the home; one daughter, Neely Dylan McMurtry of the home; one brother, Michael Crocker, Maryville; two sisters, Heather Wyss and fiancée, Ryan Jordan, Mexico, and Lisa Jobe and husband Jason, Jefferson City; her maternal grandfather, Lloyd Gray, Mexico; one nephew, Isaiah Jordan; and two nieces, Hannah and Christiana Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Joyce Gray and her paternal grandparents, Walter and Veda Wyss.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to the Neely McMurtry trust fund. They may be sent in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.

Margaret Elinor Fraser
M. Elinor Fraser, 79 of Mexico, passed away at 1:44 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 at Audrain Medical Center.
Elinor was born in Fruitland, Ontario, Canada on September 12, 1929, the daughter of Margaret (Walker) and William Hewitson.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30 at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Fr. John Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Arnold Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Elinor taught bookkeeping at the Vocational-Technical School and retired from her position as secretary at Williams-Keepers in 1994. She played the organ at St. Brendan Catholic Church for many years and devoted much of her time to volunteer activities including the Mexico Chamber of Commerce, the Ambassadors of the Chamber of Commerce, the Help Center, the Cancer Center, the Sunset Festival, Earth Day Celebrations and the Community Betterment Coun-cil.
Elinor is survived by her husband, Donald; two sons, Hugh of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and Gregory of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada; three daughters, Margaret Hibbeler of St. Charles, Dorothy Moen of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Catherine Knocke of Chesterfield; and 18 grandchildren.
