Beulah Kendall, 95, of Paris dies

Beulah Kendall, 95, of Paris, died Friday afternoon, Aug. 27, 2010, at Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Paris.
Mrs. Kendall was born on Nov. 22, 1914, in Callao, Mo., the daughter of Val and Stella Gilbert Cook. She was married to John H. Barr on Dec. 18, 1932, and to this union three sons and one daughter were born, Harold, Edward J., Larry E., and Linda. John died Nov. 11, 1969. She later married O.K. Kendall on Dec. 29, 1973, and he died on March 28, 2004. Mrs. Kendall was a member of the Paris Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and was a telephone operate for 28 years. She enjoyed her family, traveling, fishing and playing cards.
Mrs. Kendall is survived by one son, Harold and wife, Ann, of LaMesa, Calif., one brother, Cecil Cook and wife, Mary, of Ottumwa, Iowa; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Barr and wife, Becky, of Sioux Falls, S.D., Todd Barr and wife, Karla, of Hannibal, Tim Barr of Paris, Travis Barr and wife, Jennifer, of Centralia, Ned Wood and wife, Marcy, of Ashland, and Mandy Wyatt of Hallsville; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, John H. Barr and O.K. Kendall, two sons, Edward J. and Larry E., one daughter, Linda, who died at birth in 1944, and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Agnew Funeral Home in Paris. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Paris.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church at Paris on the American Cancer Society.
