Evelyn P. Newbrough, 90 of Mexico, died at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at Audrain Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Atkinson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Evelyn was born April 23, 1919 in Bartonville, Ill., the daughter of Glen E. and Olive E. (Sparks) Pierson. On Oct. 7, 1939 she married Robert A. Newbrough in Paris, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1981.
Survivors include her son, Robert Newbrough and fiancee Darla Sleeth of Centralia; five grandchildren, Melissa Mechlin of Sturgeon, Julie Blair of Mexico, Kevin Newbrough of Mexico, Mendy Jo Price of Florida and Lori Ann Newbrough of St. Louis; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Juanita Vaverka of Waterloo, Iowa.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her son, Charles Newbrough and one sister.
