Jasper Franklin “Booster”  Butler
Jasper Franklin “Booster” Butler, 81, of Fulton, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 11, 2009. He was born Aug. 27, 1927 in Montgomery City, the son of the late Thomas Franklin and Jessie Lee (Preston) Butler.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Dorothy Elaine Terry of Fulton; five children, Sharon (Garry) Adams of Ridgedale, Frank Butler of Bement, Ill., Wes (Sheryl) Butler of Bement, Ill., Donna (Bill) Wilson of Fulton, and Lisa Butler of Fulton; two sisters, Alta Mae Allen of Vandalia and Wanda Somner of the state of Texas; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Douglas Newman; one son, Bruce Wayne Butler; one daughter, Diana Lynn Butler; one brother, Virgil Butler; one sister, Martha Davis; two grandsons, Ted Adams and Steven Benn; and one great-granddaughter, Cammeron Benn.
Jasper retired from the Kaiser Refractories where he worked for 21 years. He served our country in the United States Army as an aircraft mechanic in World War II. He lived in the Mexico area before moving to Fulton to live with his daughter, Lisa Butler. He sheered sheep and cut timber in Mexico, Perry, Montgomery City, and Wellsville with his stepfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Brother David Coleman officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, June 13, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen Weaver, Speech Pathology Department at the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251. Dick Fisher
Richard “Dick” Normand Fisher, 80, loving husband, father and grandfather, of Mexico, died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Audrain Medical Center.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to Harry and Amy (Bookwalter) Fisher. He graduated from Ohio State University in June, 1951 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture.
He married Agnes Grannan on March 3, 1950. She survives at the home. He was a cattle buyer for three major beef packing companies including Swift & Company (Chicago, Ill.), Coffeyville (Kan.) Packing Company and IBP (Dakota City, Neb.). He retired in 1995.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by nine children, Tom Fisher (Beth) of Ocala, Fla., Fred Fisher (Tara) of Coffeyville, Kan., Sue Ann Webster (Jim) of Houston, Texas, Carol Stricker (Will) of Wichita, Kan., Joan Stephenson (John) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Bette Moore (Bruce) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Jim Fisher of Charleston, S.C., Steve Fisher (Lori) of Dubuque, Iowa, and Thad Fisher (Amy) of Mexico. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Fisher.
Dick was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church and an active member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He volunteered at Audrain Medical Center and meals on wheels.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Fr. John Schmitz officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 4-6 at Arnold Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Burial will be in St. Brendan Cemetery.

Cranston Eady
Cranston L. Eady, 45, of Philadelphia, Pa., formerly of Mexico, died Friday, June 5, 2009, in Philadelphia.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Monday in the shelter at Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until service time at Pickering Funeral Home.
