Alma Chapple Remley
Alma Chapple Remley, 80, of Centralia, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
Born in Pike County, on Oct. 23, 1928, she was the daughter of Richard Penn and Ethel Robinson Chapple.
She was a 1946 graduate of Salisbury High School and attended the University of Missouri. On June 26, 1948, she married Albert C. Remley Jr. in Salisbury. After 34 years of marriage, Mr. Remley preceded her in death. Together, they owned and operated Al’s Repair Shop for 28 years. She taught home economics at Centralia High School for two years at the beginning their marriage.
Mrs. Remley was a member of the First Christian Church in Centralia. She was an active member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship and as a 4-H leader in Centralia. Her life displayed a true expression of love to family and friends through her exceptional gifts of cooking, sewing, and hospitality.
Survivors include two sons: Richard E. Remley and wife, Elizabeth, East Moline, Ill., and Ronald E. Remley and wife, Jan, of Kearney; two daughters: Rhonda R. and husband, Mitch Fletcher of Fulton, and Ruth R. and husband Jeff Breedlove of Centralia; two brothers, Richard Chapple of St. Charles and Robert Chapple of Rockport; one sister, Lucille Farrell of Boonville; 12 grandchildren: Jennifer Remley of St. Charles, Aaron Remley of Bettendorf, Iowa, Melissa Remley of Columbia, Shane Remley of Kansas City, Megan Laws of Rolla, Kristin Wilson of Fulton, Nicole King of Mexico, Tracy Edwards, Columbia, Megan and Dustin Fletcher, Fulton, Jeremy and Jana Breedlove, Centralia; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb King of Mexico, Mackenzie and Robby Wilson of Fulton.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Centralia.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Fenton Funeral Chapel, Centralia, is in charge of arrangements.
Dean Clinton Peery
Dean Peery, 75, of Searcy, Ark., died Friday, July 3, 2009, at home.
He was born Nov. 18, 1932, to Clifford and Lula Peery in Martinsburg.
Survivors include children: Brenda Jacobs and husband, Gary, of Brookfield; Ralph Peery and wife, Viann, of Frederick, Okla., Leah Sterling and husband, David of Searcy, Ark., and Randy Peery of Wellington, Fla.; one sister, Sarah Doebelin of Mexico; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou; one daughter Cindy Harrington; his parents Clifford and Lula Peery, one brother Claude Peery, one sister-in-law Barbara Peery, and one brother-in-law William Doebelin.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Community Church in Martinsburg. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

PERRY – Lawrence Virgil Jones, 90, of Perry died at 11:49 a.m., Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.
Private memorial services will be held at Center Cemetery at a later date. Bienhoff Funeral Home, Perry, was in charge of arrangements.
