Anna Power, 92, of Mexico dies

Anna Mae Power, 92 of Mexico, Mo., died at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at Golden Living Center-Pin Oaks.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Brendan Catholic Church, Mexico with Fr. John Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Arnold Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Brendan Cemetery.
Anna was born May 31, 1918 in Monroe County, the daughter of Edward Lee and Sarah Jane (Mills) Jones. On Jan. 19, 1941 in Indian Creek, Mo., she married James L. Power. He died on Nov. 1, 1993.
Mrs. Power was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Max) Stanislav of Grand Island, Neb., Annette (Richard) Bagley of Florissant, Mo., Jim L. (Mary Ellen) Power of New Providence, Iowa and Karen R. (Kenton) Sullivan of Golden City, Mo.;  four granddaughters, Amy Power, Stephanie (Dan) Berghoff, Suzanne Bagley and Sara Bagley; two grandsons, Carl Power and Robert (Molly) Power; three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley and Cassidy Berghoff; many nieces and nephews;  and her caregiver, Elva Glenn of Mexico.
In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Homer Power; and five brothers, J.B., Raymond, Howard, Kenneth and Jerry Jones.
Memorials may be made to the Power Family, c/o Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO  65265. The Power family will forward to charities in their communities that were important to Anna.
