Wilmoth A. Gerngross
Wilmoth (Murphy) Boulware Gerngross, formerly of Monroe County, died at 11:20 p.m. June 6, 2009 in Irving, Texas, a month after sustaining a fractured left hip and shoulder. She was 86.
Ms. Gerngross, who had resided in Irving since 1964, was born Wednesday, December 13, 1922 in Rush Hill, Mo. to Cicero and Mabel Murphy. Wilmoth, also known by her father given nickname of ‘Sal’, was the seventh of nine children. Her early life was spent as a farmer and homemaker, later becoming a hairdresser and beauty shop proprietor.
She is survived by one brother, Stanley Murphy; one daughter, Sherry Van Dyke; two grandsons, Lee Boulware and Mark Pearson; one granddaughter, Cindy Allison; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jerry Lee Boulware; one brother, Cicero Allen Murphy; and six sisters, Susie Yager, May Jones, Lila Yager Shuck, Thelma Vance, Hazel Donovan and Juanita Chapman.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 13 at 11 a.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris with Rev. Steve Goughnour officiating.
A memorial service is set for June 20, 11 a.m. at Oak View Baptist Church in Irving where Wilmoth has been a member since 1965. Memorials can be made to the church at 1004 S. Story Road, Irving TX, 75060.

Jerome Seigfreid
Jerome Welling Seigfreid, 82, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Mexico, died June 9, 2009. Born in Kansas City to Ira and Irene Seigfreid, he was a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law. He had served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Judge Advocate General Corps during the Korean conflict.
He was a practicing attorney for over 50 years, recognized and rewarded by his clients and peers alike. He practiced with his son Paul A. Seigfreid from 1984 until the time of his death. A life-long member of Rotary International, Jerome was a past president of the Mexico (Missouri) Rotary Club. In Naples, he was a member of Wyndemere Country Club where he served on the Board of Directors. Most recently, he resided at Moorings Park where he was president of the Resident’s Council.
Jerome is survived by his loving wife, Katherine (nee Flowers); his children, Sarah (Dennis) Harner, Jerome (Suzanne) Seigfreid, Jr., Ann (James) Kovar, and Paul (Mary) Seigfreid; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his brother, James T. Seigfreid. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and his sister-in-law, Donna Seigfreid.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Jerome’s life will be held Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 750 Seagate Drive, Naples. Inurnment will be private. There will be a Memorial Mass in Mexico, Mo. later in the summer so that family and friends can gather. Gale D. Head
Gale D. Head, 66, of Mexico, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Jones officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Head was born September 23, 1942, in Macon, a son of Noble Glen and Effie (Teeter) Head. On March 19, 1977, in Mexico, he married Mary Rehma. Mrs. Head survives at the home.
Gale loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed working on small engines.
In addition to his wife survivors include, five sons, Jimmie Dean Head and wife Nicole, Ewing, Joseph Gale Head, Newbury Park, Calif., Gale Dean Head, Jr., Lake Ozark, Raymond Glen Head and wife Peggy, Macon, and Daniel Wayne Head, Macon; three daughters, Rhonda Sue Struttmann, Mexico, Sara L. Miller, Macon, and Lori Ann Head, Mexico; one sister, Cerise Sibert, Roseland, Fla.; 21 grandchildren, including his special granddaughter, Mary, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, John H. Struttmann; four brothers, and three sisters.

John F. Hoard, 73, of Mexico died at 1:35 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Golden Living/Pin Oaks.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Mexico United Methodist Church.

Funeral services for Joe Utterback, 88, of Mexico, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial will be in the Wellsville Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Utterback died at 1:22 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the Villages of St. Peters in St. Peters.
