Lisa Lynn LaRue Schlanker, 40, died on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at her home at rural Wellsville, Mo.
Lisa Lynn Schlanker was born May 19, 1969 in St. Louis to Arvin Samuel LaRue and Sandra Weiner LaRue. She graduated from Montgomery County R-2 High School in 1988 and then graduated from Cosmetology School. Lisa married Karl Schlanker on Nov. 9, 1989 in Warrenton, Mo., and she was a wonderful wife and mother. She worked as a homemaker and beautician and enjoyed playing with her dogs and loved being with her children.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Karl Schlanker and her two children, Jes Schlanker and Clayton Schlanker, all of the home; her father and mother, Arvin Samuel LaRue and Sandra Weiner LaRue of Warrenton; brothers and sisters, Jim Burg and wife, Cindy, of St. Charles, Kim Mitchell and husband, Joe, of Warrenton, Mike LaRue and wife, Traci, of Tennessee, and Tracy Nichols and husband, Rob, of Warrenton; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother-in-law, Shirley Schlanker; and brother-in-law, Lyle Schlanker.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. The Reverend John Brumagin will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Schlanker Funeral Home on Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
