K. Lew Caldwell, 84, of Mexico dies

K. Lew Caldwell, 84 of Mexico died Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Golden Living Center-Pin Oaks.
Lew was born on April 23, 1925 in Montgomery County to Hugh and Alta (Seeley) Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Arnold Funeral Home with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial with full military honors will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vandalia.
Mr. Caldwell married June Kelly on February 21, 1948 in Vandalia.
Lew is survived by his wife of 62 years June of the home; a son, Randy Caldwell and wife Pat of Vandalia; a daughter, Brenda Caldwell of the home; two granddaughters, Jan Moore of Auxvasse, Jill Lybarger and husband Adam of Sedalia; two great-grandchildren, Abbie Moore and Connor Lybarger; brother, Harry L. Caldwell of Cisne, Ill.; sister Maxine McDonnald of Two Harbors, Minn.; brother, Roy Caldwell of Pottsboro, Texas; sister, Donna Caldwell of Vandalia; twin sisters, Karen and Sharon Caldwell of Vandalia.
Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and sisters, Mary May Dutler, Winnie Luckett, Agnes Roberts, H.R. Caldwell, Ray Caldwell.
