Mexico Middle School wrestlers opened their season Thursday night at home against Missouri Military Academy, Boonville and Hannibal.
The Bulldogs defeated MMA 57-12 and Boonville 42-36 before dropping a 52-27 decision to Hannibal.
Of Mexico’s 41 matches, the Bulldogs won 22 by pin with every matman wrestling at least twice.
“It was a great start and I’m very proud of our guys; they did a good job,” MMS coach Jim Graham said. “They showed they’ve been listening to us in practice.”
Going unbeaten for the Bulldogs were Austin Bulson with a 3-0 record, plus Dalton Wilson, Allek Adams, Austin Debo and Hayden Sampo all with 2-0 marks.
Next action for Mexico is Dec. 1 at Troy.
