With eight victories in 14 matches, including four by pin, Mexico High School wrestlers improved their varsity record to 5-2 overall and 3-2 conference with Tuesday night’s 48-31 triumph at NCMC rival Boonville.
“It’s nice to see our team healthy and competing the way they are,” MHS coach Nick Hoth said. “If we can stay healthy, I look forward to another run to the state tournament.”
Highlights for the Bulldogs included pins by Hunter Smith at 106 pounds, Jadin Taylor at 113, Jake Vitale 145 and Dylan McClain at 152.
Next action for Mexico will be Thursday at Hickman.
