AREA HOOPS: Saturday at Centralia, the host Panthers improved their record to 11-7 overall and 3-0 conference with a 60-30 drubbing of Monroe City. Nic Ford netted 20P (a dozen in the third quarter) and Grant Elsbury added 10P for Centralia, which led 31-16 at halftime. ... North Callaway dropped both of the Southern Boone Invitational consolation games Saturday. Fatima came from 14 points down to beat the 6-13 Ladybirds 61-49, while Linn capitalized on 20 NorCal turnovers to defeat the 10-8 Thunderbirds 52-43. High scorers for NorCal were Morgan Brown-Emmons with 20P and Brendan Borman 17P.
