Thanks to all Mexico Optimist Little League teams for the information that makes this roundup possible. Here are all the reports we had space for today.
MINOR BOYS/JUNE 8
Lock Tight Storage Tigers 3, Denny’s Royals 2
For the Tigers, Tony Hall was the winning pitcher with 3K and no hits for 1 inning. Gage Worley threw 1 inning with 3K/3 hits and Taylor Bledsoe pitched 1 inning with 2K and 1 hit. Taylor Bledsoe hit an infield home run and caught a nice pop fly in the third. Tony Hall hit 2S/2RBI. Tristen Kibble, Steven Owings and Riley Given each hit a single. Steven Owings and Cody Van Horn did an excellent job behind home plate.
For the Royals, Zach Mueller pitched 1 inning with 2K/1 hit. Nathan Krueger pitched 1 inning with 2K/1 hit and Josh Atkinson pitched one-third of an inning with 1K/1hit. Trey Brown and Josh Atkinson each hit an infield home run. Josh made a nice play behind home plate tagging out a runner. Tom Calaluce did an excellent job behind home plate as well.
MINOR GIRLS/JUNE 8
Leonatti & Baker Bengals 6, United Methodist Church Angels 5
For the Bengals, Morgan Hall was the winning pitcher with 11K/6BB in 4 innings. Morgan Hall hit 1S/2D/4RBI. Daejera Holman had 1 RBI. Morgan Bledsoe played a great game behind home plate.
For the Angels, Adria Costley pitched 3 innings with 6K/9BB. Kate Smith pitched 1 inning with 1K/1BB. Sadie Patton hit 1S, Adria Costley 1S/1RBI and stole home, Kate Smith hit 1D/1RBI and stole home, Miah Case hit 1S/1RBI and Baylee Alarcon did a great job ehind home plate.
MINOR GIRLS/JUNE 3
Leonatti & Baker Bengals 7, AAA Waste Management Tigers 2
Winning pitcher for the Bengals was Morgan Hall, who pitched 4 innings throwing 12K/6BB. Kayla Scoobee hit a single and Morgan Bledsoe did a nice job behind home plate.
For the Tigers, Tristen Chase pitched 3 innings throwing 4K/7BB. Kierra Kelly threw 1 inning with 3K/2BB. Ashle Morton hit a single and did nice job behind home plate. Sarah Jefferies made a nice double play, catching a pop fly and beating the running back to second base in the top of the first.
MINOR GIRLS/JUNE 5
Leonatti & Baker Bengals 15, United Methodist Church Angels 6
Winning pitcher for the Bengals was Morgan Hall, who threw 3 innings with 6K/5BB. Brooke Ransom, Taylor Brown and Mackenzie Davis each hit a single with 1 RBI. Morgan Bledsoe hit 3S/2RBI and Morgan Hall hit  1S/1D/1T/6RBI. Morgan Bledsoe did a solid job behind home plate.
For the Angels, Adria Costley pitched 2 innings with 3K/7BB and Kate Smith pitched 1 inning. Kate Smith hit a single with 2 RBI. Adria Costley hit a single. Baylor Alarcon had 2 RBI, Mackenzie Hawkins hit a single with 1 RBI and Baylee Alarcon did a solid job behind home.
MAJOR BOYS/JUNE 5 & 7
Precision Eyecare Takes First
Over the weekend, Precision Eyecare took a pair of wins to take sole possession of first place in the Major Boys Division.
On Friday night, Precision Eye Care defeated Mexico Cardiovascular in a close game 8-5. Winning pitcher was DiMilo Nunnelly with Scott Speaks in short relief. Scott Speaks was 3-for-3 and Logan Anselmi 2-for-2 to lead the way offensively.
Sunday night, it was Precision Eye Care with a 5-2 win over Suds In A Bucket in a game that went down to the wire and was well played by both teams. Scott Speaks was the winning pitcher, going all the way and striking out 7 while walking none.
MINOR BOYS/NO DATE
Donaldson Excavating Cardinals 12, Ben’s Auto Body 6
Starting pitcher for Donaldson was Alex Brazil with Clay Jeffrey and Collin Clay throwing in relief. Clay Jeffrey and Gavin Rodriguez both singled, while Alex Brazil tripled.
For Ben’s, Chris Campbell was the starting pitcher, followed by Zach Groves and Sean Fitzgerald. Nathaniel Dick doubled and Zach Groves singled.
MINOR BOYS/NO DATE
Donaldson Excavating Cardinals 8, Precision Landscaping 7
Alex Brazil was the starting pitcher and Collin Clay finished up for Donaldson. Clay Jeffrey went 2-for-2, both singles, while Alex Brazil had 1D/1RBI and Tommy Koppinger was 2-for-2 with a 1D/1T/3RBI.
Deion Wayman and Malik Holman shared the mound duties for Precision. Malik Holman was 2-for-2 with 1S/1HR/2RBI.
