The Missouri Military Academy Middle School Wrestling Club was in action again Saturday at the Owensville Tournament.
MMA wrestlers Austin Bouche, Evan Buenger, Mauricio Chico, Brandon Doggett, Joshua Pearson and Tavian Willits attended the event with 250 other club wrestlers. MMA grapplers brought back a total of four medals.
Wrestling at 130 pounds, Pearson took first place in his bracket. At 103 pounds, Bouche won a second-place medal. At 98 pounds, Chico also won a second-place medal as did Doggett at 125.
“All our wrestlers gave 100 percent and represented Missouri MilitaryAcademy well,” said MMA assistant coach Capt. Keith Morgan. “Several people at the tournament commented on our boys' conduct, skills and character. It was a great experience for all to conclude our club wrestling season.”
