The Mexico Youth Wrestling Club kept busy over the weekend by competing in three different tournaments.
On Saturday, they took 13 wrestlers to the Timberwolves Xtreme Tournament in Wentzville and two to the Brookfield Tournament. On Sunday, they took 24 wrestlers to the Kirksville Junior Tiger Classic.
Mexico’s young matmen will be holding exhibition matches against Fulton prior to tonight’s MHS wrestling meet and will resume tourney action Saturday at Centralia.
Timberland Tournament
8-under: Sheldyn Johnson 4th, Steven Johnson 2 wins 3rd, Carter Maxwell 4th, Breckin Whitaker 1 win 1 tech fall 3rd.
