MAJOR GIRLS/JUNE 3
Martinsburg Bank Mustangs 11, Simply Elegant Divas 5: Kristen Walch pitched 2 innings with 2K/0BB, while Lindsey Mueller threw 3 innings with 7K/3BB for the Mustangs. Rachel Owings went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, Erica Smiley 2-for-2/1BB, Mueller 1-for-3/1RBI, Erica Smith 1-for-3/1RBI, Caitlyn Battles 1-for-3 and Raven Phelps 1-for-3. Allison Smiley made a nice play to catch a fly ball in left field in the first inning.
For the Divas, Mariah Miller went 1-for-2 and played a solid game behind the plate. Peyton David struck out the side in the top of the last inning. Caitlyn Blackburn struck out 2 and walked 2 in 3 innings, while David went 2 innings, fanning 5 and walking 2.
MINOR BOYS/JUNE 3
Pearl Motor Co. 8, Precision Landscaping 7: For Pearl Motors, Kayden Wilson and Tyler Spargo each had hits. Cameron Baumgartner was the starting pitcher with 4K and Dalton Keith was the closer with 1K; Myron Mahaney made a difficult catch in the outfield for a third out.
Wyatt Turner was the starter with closer Dean Wayans fanning 4 for Precision Landscaping.
MINOR GIRLS/MAY 31
Remax Rockers 6, Mexico Motors 4: Kelsay Hutcheson struck out 3, Ambry Bender 2 while allowing 6 hits and Mattie Rothe fanned 3 allowing 1 hit for the Rockers. Shelbi Shaw and Sophia Exendine both had 2 singles plus 1 RBI and Kylee Ward homered; Roth, Madi Egdorf, Bender and Ashlee Owen all singled with Egdorf and Bender driving in a run.
Maggie Huffman singled twice and Catie Bledsoe once for Mexico Motors with Catie Paladin, Haley Mills, Caitlyn Reeves and Reghan Smith each collecting 1S/1RBI. Smith gave up 2 hits and fanned 3, Madison Rhodes 1 hit and struck out 3 and Reeves 6 hits and fanned 1.
