The Mexico girls have played to a tie in the past seven games but have not tasted victory.
That was the case until Thursday night at home when the Lady Bulldogs defeated Fulton 2-0, picking up their first win in North Central Missouri Conference play and against district opponents this season. Sisters Claire and Grace Hudson scored the goals for Mexico.
Mexico (3-8-1, 1-4 NCMC) outshot Fulton (0-7, 0-4 NCMC) 14-9 and had a greater shot advantage in the second half with an 8-3 margin.
Mexico hosts conference foe Marshall (10-2, 3-1 NCMC), who it lost to 8-0 earlier this season, at 5 p.m. Monday.
