COMMUNITY R-6 GIRLS: The Community R-6 Lady Trojans played Westran on Saturday at Moberly Area Community College before the Greyhounds game with West Plains. "It was a great experience for our kids to play on a college floor and enjoy a fun day of basketball," said R-6 Coach Bob Curtis.
Junior Emmalee McCoskey led the charge for the Lady Trojans with 10 points and 10 rebounds. She was dominate on both ends of the floor against a smaller Westran team. The contest was very physical and featured two teams that can relly defend so field goals were hard to come by, said Curtis.
The Lady Trojans brought home the win 31-13. In addition to McCoskey, Paige Curtis scored 5 points and Bianca Stafford added 4. Danielle Brooks had 3 assists.
The Lady Trojans are 12-6 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
