On The Road

Bulldogs volleyball lost a close match Tuesday, falling 25-21, 23-25, 23-25 to the Wright City Wildcats on the road.
"This week has been a rough week for the girls. Losing to Centralia and now Wright City was a disappointment for all of us," head coach Rachel Leu said. "During both matches I felt we were in control and then let the game slip away from us."
Senior Macy Carmean had 11 kills for the Bulldogs. Senior Brooke Tessman had 20 digs while sophomore Kymberlynn Tessman had 13 digs to lead Mexico defensively.
Leu hopes the girls can shake the loss when they resume conference play at home against Hannibal Thursday.
"Our confidence has been shaken, so now we have to get it back," Leu said. "We're too good of a team to let these games get us down, we will learn from our mistakes and become a stronger team because of it."
