Norbert Anthony “Norb” Arens, 92, of Martinsburg, passed away on Nov. 30, 2020 at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg. Father Austin Okoli will officiate, assisted by Deacon Ron Deimeke. Serving as organist will be Ruth Wilson. Cantor will be Jan Schafer.

Hilma Laurene Allen, 88, of Cameron, formerly of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at The Village of Cameron.

Graveside Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Deana Marie Taylor, 64, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at her home.
Private family services will be at a later date.

Deana was born on Feb. 25, 1956, in Hunnewell, the daughter of William and Rita (Little) Taylor.
She graduated from Monroe City High School and had worked for Teal Lake Assisted Living in Mexico. Deana loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Kathleen Brookshier Berkbuegler, 79, of Mexico, passed on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Centralia. The daughter of John and Margaret Cassett Cahill, she was born on Dec. 19, 1940 in Jersey City, N.J.

Kathleen graduated from Woodbury College in California, with honors, with a bachelor of arts in business. She worked as a manager and president for various credit unions. She attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and playing cards.

Atheleen Iola Welch

Atheleen Iola Welch, 89, of Mexico, died at 5:02 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, at the University of Missouri Hospital surrounded by five of her six children. She was born June 19, 1931 in Coleman, S.D., to the parents of Selmer and Carrie (Alburs) Odegard. Atheleen was a Lutheran by faith and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. The family moved to Missouri from South Dakota in 1940. Her grandparents came to America from Germany and missed the Titanic due to illness.

Leland Allen Wagner, 79, of Mexico, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at Boone Hospital Center.
Graveside services were Saturday, Nov. 28, in East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Stanford officiating.

Kenneth Alvin Prater was born to Curtis and Jesse Frances (Chapman) Prater on Aug. 25, 1933 in Mexico, Mo.. He passed away on Nov. 24, 2020 at Heritage Crossing in Geneva, Neb. at the age of 87 years, 2 months, and 30 days. Kenneth was the third of four children born in the family.

Services for Robert Eugene Bland, 95, of Vandalia, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Vandalia with Rev. Brian Lehenbauer and Rev. Bob Hoehn officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
Masonic services will be provided by Masonic Lodge 491.
Family requests that masks be worn and social distancing be observed.
