Adam D. Turner, 90, of Mexico, passed away at 2:25 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital – Audrain.

Graveside services with military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Jones officiating. Following graveside services, the family will receive friends at the Turner home.

Adam was born June 6, 1927 in Rolla, the son of Daniel S. and Frances (Fey) Turner. On June 2, 1951 in Mexico, he married Betty J. Hite.

Mr. Turner served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 11th Airborne and was stationed in Hawaii.

Adam had worked at A.P. Green for 42 years. He was a member of the Mexico United Methodist Church, volunteering in many capacities. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening and loved watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Missouri Tigers.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Turner of the home; one daughter, Deb Turner and spouse, Pat Wilber, of St. Louis; one son, Dan Turner of Mexico; special friend of the family, Susan Cinkay of Mexico; one sister-in-law, Helen Turner of Rolla; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Turner was preceded in death by three brothers, Charlie, Robert and Martin; and two sisters, Susie and Anne.
