On November 11, 2017, at about 6:21 p.m.; members of the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office, Laddonia Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol were dispatched to the 200 block of Highway K in Laddonia,  Audrain County,  on the report of a disturbance in which a gunshot had been fired.

Subsequent investigation revealed that Kevin Ray Fischer, 51, of Laddonia; arrived at the above residence and was told to leave the residence. Fischer refused to leave and physically assaulted a 37-year-old female resident of the home, before forcing entry into the residence.

Once inside the residence, A 34-year-old-male occupant of the home confronted Fischer with a firearm and ordered him to leave the residence. Fischer refused and assaulted the armed male occupant, at which time the male occupant fired a handgun at Fischer, striking Fischer in his foot.

Responding officers located Fischer nearby the residence. Fischer was transported to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital- Audrain for medical treatment; after which, he was arrested and transported to the Audrain County Jail.

Fischer was arrested for First-Degree Burglary; First-Degree Stalking; and two counts of Fourth Degree Assault.

Persons arrested for criminal offenses are merely accused and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
