John Thaddeus (Jay T.) Pratt, formerly of Mexico, passed away peacefully at home early Friday, January 19 in Loveland, Colorado at the age of 96.  Jay T. was born on May 13, 1921 as an only child to Marshall Pratt and Evelyn (Threlkeld) Pratt in McCredie, Missouri.  He married Wanda Jean Wilding on February 21, 1942 at the First Christian Church in Mexico.  Wanda survives and currently resides at the Sugar Valley Estates in Loveland where they made their home.  Jay and Wanda had celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this past February.

Jay Pratt attended and graduated from Mexico Public Schools.  While in Mexico, he and his family lived on East Love Street up until his departure from Mexico in 1969.  He is survived by two sons, John Wiley (Patsy) of Urbana, Illinois and Alan Marshal (Patty) of Niwot, Colorado.  He leaves four grandchildren: Darren Pratt (Kari) of Champaign, IL, Marcia (Pratt) Shackelford of Champaign, IL, Cathi (Pratt) Cox (Brandon) of Martinsville, IN and Michael Pratt of Houston, TX.  Jay and Wanda have six grandchildren; Jordan, Blaine, Jade, Parker, Payton and Preston.

Growing up in Mexico, Jay worked at Sinclair Oil (1938-39), Mexico Refractories (1939-41) and Mexico Savings Bank (1941 to 1969) reaching the level of assistant Vice President.  While in Mexico, Jay served as President of the Tri-County Bankers Association, Chairman of the local T.B. Association (10 years) and the Mexico School Board (10 years).  Jay and Wanda departed Mexico in 1969 to live in Lake Worth and Palm Beach Gardens, FL where Jay continued his banking career.  He served as Vice President of the Florida National Bank, West Palm Beach, FL until retiring in 1983.  Following retirement, they sold their Florida home and traveled the country in their motor home visiting all 50 states and parts of Canada before settling in Loveland, Colorado.

Following cremation, there will be no visitation or funeral per his desire.
