Whatever the opposition has to offer in 2017-18, head coach Garrett Thomas and the Paris varsity girls basketball team seem to have just a little bit more, or a lot.
It just depends on who the opposition is.
On Friday the Lady Coyotes hosted Knox County, and while it wanted to be a worthy opponent, once it found itself down 13-6 at the end of the first quarter, it was all uphill after that. Paris simply couldn't be stopped after that, widening the gap to 28-15 at halftime and 43-23 at the end of the third before finally earning a 51-31 victory.
One ingredient to this winning recipe that's become a staple for Paris this season is Allison Moore, who had 17 points, seven assists, three rebounds and three steals, Drew Lockhart made a 12 point, four rebound contribution and Tori Hamilton chated seven points, six rebounds, five blocks, one assist and a steal. Grace Peak also had a four point showing, Delaney Miller charted three points and Aly Francis added two points.
For the contest the Lady Coyotes had 36 rebounds, 13 assists, nine blocks and seven steals.
Paris, 15-6 overall, 4-1 Lewis and Clark, is at Westran today.
