Paris golf starts with style

Wednesday might have appeared like a nice day to some, but as time progressed the temperature wasn't doing anybody any favors.

Instead, between the drop in numrers and a wind that was as equaling unforgiving to people as it was to golf shots, the Paris varsity boys still team managed to host Monroe City for a non-conference affair at Mark Twain Country Club. Monroe City's Danny Dennison's response was to fight through all that adversity to shoot a 45, so Paris' Konnor Heitmeyer and Adam Forrest answered back by surrounding him with scores of 44 and 46, respectively.

That turned out to be exactly the answer to the Coyotes problem as they ended up outlasting Monroe City 209-212. The rest of the individual scores for Paris included Blake Turner with a 53, Aidan Mitchell posted a 66 and Zack Rentschler charted a 70.

On the other side of this equation for Monroe City it was Evan Janes that laid down a 50, Mason Reyes shot a 60 and coming in at 57 was Ryan Kendrick. Landon Shinn also shot a 62.

For the Paris JV Wyatt Wilson finished with a 71 and for the Monroe City JV Logan Lucas and Taylor St. Clair both ended their round at 70.
