All season long Missouri Military Academy head coach Michael Pemberton has been going about the task of using tennis to make his team stronger cadets, both as a group and individually.

Winning and losing has always been secondary to the lessons these athletes learn through athletics, and Wednesday that journey took this team to the Helias Invitational, where Bruno Pozzani medaled and placed first at No. 3 Singles. With Bolivar, Hickman and Helias making up the rest of the field, the majority of the team didn't enjoy much after, meaning even though there were several other scattered victories across the event, for the most part this was more about learning than it was anything else.

"This was a good experience for all of the cadets. I was very pleased with the play of Bruno Pozzani," said Pemberton. "Playing at number three, Bruno played great tennis throughout the day and ended up winning the No. 3 Singles bracket. He continues to improve with each match."
