Columbia, Mo. - Tonight the 10th ranked Columbia College women's soccer team kicked off their 2018 campaign when they played host to the 24th ranked John Brown (Ark.) University Golden Eagles in a nonconference matchup. The Cougars were defeated by the Golden Eagles by a final score of 1-0 and fell to 0-1 on the season.

The Golden Eagles controlled the tempo to start and were able to put two shots on goal in the first 10 minutes of the half. The Cougars settled in as the period progressed but neither side was able to find the back of the net as the game remained scoreless at the halftime break. Columbia College had three shots in the half including two shots on target.
