The holiday weekend ended quicker for some than others.
One example of that would be the Mexico varsity girls golf team, who were back in action Tuesday morning in tournament play at the Kirksville Country Club amidst a 12-team field that saw the team claim the top spot by a healthy margin with a score of 391 over its host, which came in at 408.
On an individual level it was the Lady Tigers' Abby Boyer that medaled after carding an 83, which Mexico's Kyla Gore and Lilly Knipfel followed up by placing third and fourth with scores of 88 and 92, respectively. Betsy Pascoe was next for the Lady Bulldogs in the 11th spot after shooting a 101, Allison Murphy was 20th with a mark of 110 and rounding things out in 28th was Emma Unger at 117.
