Youth running event coming up

This weekend on Sept. 16 the Mexico Hounds Youth Cross Country Club will be competing at the Fulton Flash Youth XC Classic from 2-6 p.m. at Fulton High School, 1 Hornet Drive, Fulton, Mo. There will also be an adult 2K race and an opitonal youth walk that will start prior to the youth race, which will commence at 3 p.m. The rest of the start times will be determined by registration and will take place on a rolling basis. The Central Missouri Athletic Circuit will help run this event, as well.

The Hounds will also be competing at the Westphalia Comet Youth XC Classic hosted by the CMAC on Oct. 21 from 2-5 p.m. in Loose Creek, Mo., at ther Westphalia Knights of Columbus. Cost for both events is $3 for CMAC members and $5 for nonmembers.



Harvest Fest Fastpitch Tourney

The Mexico Sports Authority will be hosting a Fastpitch Tournament at 763 E. Summit St. in Mexico, Mo., from Sept. 29 at 8 a.m. to Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. for 12U girls for $345 per team. The event will be a United States Specialty Sports Association qualifier and will be made up of two pool games on day one followed by single elimination bracket play on day two. Details:
