A Mexico teen died after a Saturday afternoon crash.
Logan Jaeger, 19, was eastbound at 2:30 p.m. on a 2003 Kawasaki on West Breckenridge Street at Grove Street when a 2013 Jeep driven by Ronald Biery, 73, of Mexico pulled into Jaeger’s path.
Jaeger attempted to avoid a collision, but was unable to do so. Biery said he did not see Jaeger when he entered the intersection, according to a release from the Mexico Department of Public Safety.
Jaeger was flown to University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. An investigation continues.
Condolences poured in on Facebook where the public safety department posted about the crash. A majority of comments offered prayers to Jaeger’s family. In a public posting by Jaeger's cousin, Valerie Hicks White, it said Jaeger was an incredible young man with an infectious smile.
A funeral visitation is scheduled Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home at 425 S. Jefferson St. in Mexico.
