Non-Conference game on the horizon

Next up for the Van-Far varsity baseball team is non-league road contest at Silex on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. followed by and Eastern Missouri Conference matchup on Friday at the same time at Louisiana. The squad then hosts Sturgeon on April 29 at 5:00 p.m.


Panthers going old school

At the Boonville Wood Bat Varsity Baseball tournament last Thursday, Centralia, 8-2 overall, defeated Lakeland, 8-8 overall, 8-3 according to the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA.org) website. The Panthers also downed Eldon, 2-15 overall, that day 22-7. Last Wednesday at this same event Centralia was downed by host Boonville 15-0.

Pitching League results for 4-16-19 include Eugene Freels 7-0, Larry Brown 6-1, Rodney Brewster 5-2, Charlie Maupin 3-4, Ralph Throckmorton 2-5 (LP75), Louie Schmidt 2-5 (LP58), Calivin McGrew 2-5 (LP43) and Ron Boscherding 1-6.

Lady Bulldogs field issues

Because of rain the evening before, the Mexico varsity girls soccer home game on April 18 against Warrenton was postponed and no new date has been set as of yet.

 

Fighting Colonels face Indians

Last Wednesday the Missouri Military Academy varsity baseball team played Elsberry according to MSHSAA.org and was defeated 10-0.
