Once Monday was complete at the two-day Missouri State High School Activities Association varsity boys golf championship Class 1 meet at the par-72 Sedalia Country Club, Van-Far had put itself in prime position to make a run for the title.

The Indians were actually in better position to make a play for the runners-up spot because with a score of 316, while nothing is impossible, Bishop LeBlond actually had a rather firm grip on that slot. But, at 333, Westran was well within striking distance of Van-Far's 337, and with Iberia at 361, Mid Buchanan, posting a 367 and St. Vincent charting a 368, those teams are in a world of their own. Bloomfield is also competing in seventh at 383 and Windsor is eighth with a 391.

Individually the Indians Rylee Hanson is the low-man in fifth with a 75 and both Van-Far's Jayson Orr and Paris' Konnor Heitmeyer shot an 81 on day one to tie for 12th.
