Police believe a 15-year-old Boonville girl who has been missing for two weeks is safe and staying in St. Louis, but they still haven’t been able to contact her.
Jamariah Bell, 15, ran away from home Aug. 22, and was last seen getting into a white SUV with an unknown driver, according to the Boonville Police Department. Bell has family members living in St. Louis, and relatives have seen her there, according to police.
Bell lived in St. Louis before recently moving to Boonville, Assistant Police Chief Randy Ayers said on Wednesday. One of her cousins in St. Louis saw Bell 3 days ago and they have been exchanging messages, Ayers said.
Police believe Bell is safe, but they don’t know where she is staying, Ayers said. He is still trying to get Bell to contact him so that they can get everything figured out, he said. Boonville Police have been talking to Bell’s family members and police in St. Louis, he said.
Boonville Police encourage anyone who knows Bell and has any information about where she is to call the department at 660-882-2727.
