The Blackwater Preservation Society is hosting the first annual Vendor Blender at The Hollow on Saturday on Blackwater’s Main Street.

Thirty merchants selling everything from candy and nuts to homemade gifts and jewelry will be set up inside the event space at 110 Main St. in Blackwater from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will also be carriage rides, a harpist playing in the Iron Horse Restaurant, and Kimberly’s Restaurant will be serving a special Christmas dinner.

There will be crafts for children at the train depot, concessions and carolers. Santa will also be there, and there will be a photo booth to take family photos and photos with Santa. Later in the day, Mrs. Claus will be reading A Night Before Christmas.

Blackwater lit up its Christmas light display on Nov. 23, and the lights and the magic tree will be on display in the evening. Many stores on Main Street will stay open later than usual for the event.
