Missouri Military Academy Cadets in late March made 3,500 buddy packs to help with nutrition needs of community school children.

The academy normally makes 500 per week, but ended up making the large order in just two days, according to a news release. The buddy packs made by 60 cadets are available to families in the Mexico, Ralls County and Community R-6 school districts.

The academy makes the buddy packs for The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri.

The academy developed a special pick-up protocol while it maintains a contained campues. Instead of someone picking up buddy packs, they are delivered off campus.

Distribution locations in Mexico are Williams Family Support Center from 5-6 p.m. Wednesdays, Angel Wings Clothing Closet from 2-3 p.m. Fridays and Southside Christian Church from 5-6 p.m. Fridays.
