Patients who need health care services in light of COVID-19 can do so with SSM Health telehealth services, according to a news release.
The telehealth option is for regular health care needs. SSM Health does have an online questionnaire for those who suspect they have COVID-19, though.
Providers, during a telehealth appointment, connect with patients via video chat or phone call to diagnose, treat, educate and prescribe appropriate medications.
“The safety of our patients, employees and physicians is our top priority,” Tim Johnson, System Vice President of Medical Group and Population Health Operations, said in the release. “A telehealth visit enables us to continue practicing social distancing – while also ensuring our patients continue to receive the care they need to stay healthy and to manage any chronic conditions they may have.”
Patients who would like to schedule a telehealth visit should call their health care provider.
